BSN top team - Capitanes (22-10) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they beat sixth ranked Brujos (8-24) in Guayama 97-79. They outrebounded Brujos 40-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. Capitanes looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was Nigerian-American power forward Chinemelu Elonu (206-1987, college: Texas A&M) who scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. International Devon Collier (203-1991, college: Oregon St.) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Capitanes' coach Rafael Cruz used entire bench saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Brandon Davis (188-2000, college: Sacramento St.) who recorded 22 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and the other American import guard Diego Maldonado (195-1995, college: Queens, NY) added 24 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Capitanes have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 22-10 record.
