Very important is a road loss of second ranked Sergio Ceppi (11-2) against leader UDC (8-0) on Sunday night. Visiting Sergio Ceppi was crushed by UDC in 78-59. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Sergio Ceppi. UDC forced 28 Sergio Ceppi turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for Antonia Andaur (-2002) who led her team to a victory scoring 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international point guard Javiera Novion (170-1987, college: Eckerd) helped adding 16 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Four UDC players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Macarena Retamales (176-2001) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and the former international Florencia Colossi (168-1998) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UDC have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Loser Sergio Ceppi keeps the second position with two games lost. UDC's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in to the arena .
