Regular Season Round 3: Piratas - Broncos 52-70

Very significant was Broncos' (#3) 18-point road victory against Piratas 70-52. Broncos forced 23 Piratas turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Broncos brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for international point guard Garly Sojo (196-1999, agency: Pro Sports) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. Brazilian center Gabriel Mendes (206-1996) accounted for 8 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. South Sudanese-Lebanese center Ater Majok (210-1987, college: UConn) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks and American-Hungarian forward Damian Hollis (203-1988, college: GWU) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Piratas in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Broncos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Piratas will play again on the road against Broncos (#2) in Caracas and hope to get finally their first victory.
