Regular Season Round 6: Lagomar - Sayago 82-72

Very predictable result in Montevideo where fourth ranked Lagomar (5-1) defeated bottom-ranked Sayago (0-6) 82-72 on Saturday. They outrebounded Sayago 47-35 including a 39-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American Brian Moultrie (198-1987, college: Armstrong St.) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Forward Federico Haller (200-1988) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Argentinian center Agustin Caffaro (211-1995) who recorded 21 points and 9 rebounds and center Nahuel Lemos (205-1999) added 17 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Five Lagomar and four Sayago players scored in double figures. Lagomar keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Cordon and U.Atletica. Loser Sayago still closes the standings with six games lost. Lagomar's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena 25 de Agosto.
