Everything could happen in Montevideo at the game between two tied teams. Both thirteenth ranked Stockolmo and 12th ranked Verdirrojo had identical 1-4 record. This time Stockolmo used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Montevideo 84-77 on Saturday night. Stockolmo looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Lenny Daniel (203-1987, college: CSUN) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Facundo Terra (185-1998) chipped in 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Stockolmo's coach Guido Fernandez used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Giovanni Corbisiero (180-2002) who recorded 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Christian Pereira (194-1993) added 14 points and 14 rebounds respectively. Five Stockolmo and four Verdirrojo players scored in double figures. Stockolmo (2-4) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Miramar and O.Mundial. Loser Verdirrojo keeps the twelfth position with five games lost. They share it with San Telmo RS.
