Regular Season Round 6: Llaneros - Trotamundos 58-70

Everything went according to plan when top-ranked Trotamundos (3-0) defeated 4th ranked Llaneros (1-3) in Caracas 70-58 on Sunday. International center Nestor Colmenares (200-1987, college: Campbellsville, agency: Pro Sports) notched a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international point guard David Cubillan (181-1987, college: Marquette) supported him with 13 points. Even 21 points and 6 assists by American point guard Marcus Thomas (191-1995, college: Rosemont) did not help to save the game for Llaneros. Center Carlos Rodriguez (206-1989) added 7 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Trotamundos have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 3-0 record. Loser Llaneros dropped to the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Guaros and Spartans. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
