Regular Season Round 13: Leones - La Salle 88-75

An interesting game for Leones (9-2) which hosted in 4th placed La Salle (6-4). Second ranked Leones managed to get a 13-point victory 88-75. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of La Salle. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Thomas Cooper (196-1992, college: Calgary) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and 7 rebounds. Argentinian forward Norberto Stucky (198-1994) contributed with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Argentinian Joaquin Gamazo (198-1991) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Mateo Ortiz (-2000) added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for La Salle. Four La Salle players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Leones maintains second place with 9-2 record behind leader Pichincha. La Salle at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Leones are looking forward to face UNITEP (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. La Salle will have a break next round.
