Regular Season Round 4: Indeportes - Power 49-73

The game had a very big importance for fourth-ranked Power as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Power smashed much higher ranked Indeportes in Antioquia 73-49. They outrebounded Indeportes 33-20 including a 26-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Maria Zamora (170-2000) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 7 rebounds and Dominican center Yamile Rodriguez (188-1994, college: ETSU) who added 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side the former international forward Manuela Rios (165-1997) responded with 19 points and the former international center Yuliany Paz (195-2000) scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. Indeportes' coach Luis Cuenca gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Raptors and Bogota. Indeportes at the other side still keep top place with two games lost. They share the position with Medellin. Indeportes will play next round against strong Medellin trying to get back on the winning streak. Power will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Raptors in Pereira.
