There was a small surprise in Montevideo where ninth ranked O.Mundial (3-6) defeated 7th ranked 25 de Agosto (5-4) 80-74 on Thursday. The best player for the winners was Panamanian-American point guard Trevor Gaskins (188-1989, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Pro Sports) who scored 23 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Rodrigo Cardozo (191-1992) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Four O.Mundial players scored in double figures. O.Mundial's coach Gonzalo Fernandez used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Dennis McKinney (193-1998, college: Mt.Mercy, agency: GoEmpire Group) who recorded 27 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Juan Garbarino (185-1989) added 15 points respectively.
