Regular Season Round 16: UNITEP - Saracho 76-101

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Saracho (9-5) crushed on the road 8th ranked UNITEP (2-12) 101-76 on Saturday. Saracho made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game, while UNITEP only scored two points from the stripe. Strangely UNITEP outrebounded Saracho 41-28 including a 16-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by Argentinian forward Facundo Sanz (197-1996, agency: BIG) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and Argentinian power forward Nicolas Gimenez (203-1994) supported him with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Four Saracho players scored in double figures. Saracho's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 21 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals by Argentinian Nicolas Rodriguez did not help to save the game for UNITEP. Eric Aparecido added 22 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Saracho have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. UNITEP lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 12 games lost. Saracho will meet at home Atomico (#5) in the next round. UNITEP will play against Tenis and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
