No shocking result in a game when third ranked Brumas (5-2) beat 5th ranked Indigenas (3-4) in Jinotega 98-81. Brumas forced 21 Indigenas turnovers. Indigenas were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Dominican Xavier de la Rosa (196-1991) scored 24 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Kevin Andino (190) chipped in 22 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Brumas players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Dominican Jeffry Arias with 36 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and Dominican power forward Teodoro Romero (202-1990) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. Indigenas' coach Jjimmy Smith rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Brumas maintains third position with 5-2 record having just two points less than leader Real Esteli. Indigenas at the other side keep the fifth place with four games lost. Brumas will play against UNI Basket (#6) in the next round. Indigenas will play against the league's leader Real Esteli and hope to get back on the winning track.
