The game in supposed to be also worth to mention about. 6th ranked Indigenas (3-6) played at the court of eighth ranked Leon (3-5). Leon smashed Indigenas 97-61. They outrebounded Indigenas 59-35 including a 41-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. Leon players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Guard Pablo Rivas orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists. American-Panamanian Adalberto Rojas (200-1986) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five Leon players scored in double figures. Dominican Jeffry Arias replied with 22 points and Raul Mendoza (190-1987) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Indigenas. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Leon have a solid three-game winning streak.
