An interesting game for San Salvador (4-0) which played road game in Santa Ana against 3rd placed LMMR 2 (3-2). Leader San Salvador had an easy win 69-51. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of LMMR 2. San Salvador held LMMR 2 to an opponent 22.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 35.1 percent accuracy of the winners and made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. San Salvador forced 21 LMMR 2 turnovers. Cuban Leidys Oquendo (180-1982) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 44 points (!!!) and 25 rebounds (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!). Monica Calderon (175-1991) contributed with 8 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American forward Chandre Nunez (178) answered with 23 points and 6 rebounds and Monica Aristondo (163-1992) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for LMMR 2. LMMR 2's coach Alvaro Torres rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. San Salvador have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with FAS Fever 2. LMMR 2 at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost. San Salvador is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Santa Ana 2 (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. LMMR 2 will play against San Miguel (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
