Liga Mayor top team - FAS Fever 2 (4-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed fifth ranked San Miguel (1-3) 76-56. They outrebounded San Miguel 57-31 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. FAS Fever 2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when FAS Fever 2 made 9 blocks. Yayma Peillon nailed a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 23 rebounds and 8 blocks for the winning side and naturalized American Emily Tevez (175-1993, college: NDN) accounted for 25 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists. Tevez is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Honduran center Jani Martinez came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and guard Melany Sanchez (167-2004) added 23 points respectively for San Miguel in the defeat. FAS Fever 2 have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 4-0 record, which they share with San Salvador. Loser San Miguel keeps the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Salvadorenas 2. FAS Fever 2 will meet at home league's second-placed San Salvador in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. San Miguel will play against LMMR 2 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
