Very expected game when 10th ranked Correcaminos (1-10) were smashed by sixth ranked Abejas (6-6) in Ciudad Victoria 109-87 on Thursday. Abejas shot 63.1 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Correcaminos' players. American-Argentinian guard Erik Thomas (195-1995, college: New Orleans) nailed 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and American guard Tyrone White (201-1990, college: CSUB) accounted for 21 points. American guard Decensae White (198-1988, college: SF State) came up with 18 points and 6 rebounds and Jordanian-American forward Cameron Forte (201-1993, college: Portland St.) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Correcaminos in the defeat. Five Abejas and four Correcaminos players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Abejas went down to seventh position due to points difference. Correcaminos lost tenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
