Important game to mention about took place in San Miguel. Third ranked LMMR 2 (4-2) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked San Miguel (2-4) 69-68 on Sunday evening. LMMR 2 forced 21 San Miguel turnovers. American forward Chandre Nunez (178) notched a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and Monica Aristondo (163-1992) supported her with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Even 25 points and 8 rebounds by Ecuadorian point guard Leyda Macias (165-1983) did not help to save the game for San Miguel. Guard Melany Sanchez (167-2004) added 10 points and 10 rebounds. Four San Miguel players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. LMMR 2 maintains third position with 4-2 record behind leader FAS Fever 2. San Miguel at the other side keeps the fifth place with four games lost. LMMR 2 will play against league's second-placed San Salvador on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. San Miguel will play against Salvadorenas 2 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
