Regular Season Round 7: Plateros - Correcaminos 99-82

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Plateros (6-5) beat bottom-ranked Correcaminos (1-10) in Fresnillo 99-82 on Wednesday. Plateros made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Kendrick Brown (180, college: Jarvis Christian) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). His fellow American import forward Jamil Wilson (201-1990, college: Marquette) accounted for 19 points (made all of his seven free throws) for the winning side. Five Plateros players scored in double figures. American guard Decensae White (198-1988, college: SF State) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 18 rebounds and Jordanian-American forward Cameron Forte (201-1993, college: Portland St.) added 21 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for Correcaminos in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Plateros maintains fifth place with 6-5 record, which they share with Libertadores. Correcaminos lost tenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Plateros will meet league's leader Dorados in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Correcaminos will play against Soles (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
