Rather predictable result in Montevideo where leader Aguada (5-0) defeated 4th placed Hebraica (1-4) 66-58 on Saturday. They outrebounded Hebraica 60-29 including a 25-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Camila Kirschenbaum (170-2002, college: Binghamton) who scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Argentinian Candela Gentinetta (181-2001) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds. Aguada's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Romina Dalesandro (157-2003) produced 13 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals and Argentinian guard Valeria Fernandez (-1998) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Aguada have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 5-0 record, which they share with Yale. Hebraica lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Aguada will meet Remeros (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Hebraica's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo 25 de Agosto.
