Rather predictable result in Montevideo where leader Aguada (5-0) defeated 4th placed Hebraica (1-4) 66-58 on Saturday. They outrebounded Hebraica 60-29 including a 25-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Camila Kirschenbaum (170-2002, college: Binghamton) who scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Argentinian Candela Gentinetta (181-2001) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds. Aguada's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Romina Dalesandro (157-2003) produced 13 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals and Argentinian guard Valeria Fernandez (-1998) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Aguada have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 5-0 record, which they share with Yale. Hebraica lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Aguada will meet Remeros (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
