Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Montevideo: D.Sporting (#2) and 25 de Agosto (#5). 25 de Agosto was defeated at home 57-70 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. D.Sporting forced 25 25 de Agosto turnovers. The best player for the winners was Italian-Paraguayan swingman Paola Ferrari (178-1985, college: Union, TN) who scored 28 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals. Center Josefina Rivera (177-1998) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists. D.Sporting's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sabrina Molina (179-1998) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 19 rebounds and Colombian forward Alejandra Alonso (174-1992) added 14 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals respectively for the hosts. D.Sporting have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 4-1 record behind leader Yale, which they share with Lagomar. 25 de Agosto lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. D.Sporting's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Malvin.
