The game had a very big importance for second-ranked San Jose as it allowed them to take a leadership position. San Jose defeated 3rd ranked Olimpia K. in Asuncion 87-83. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Olimpia K.. San Jose made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game.
