The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Jaguares (11-2) on the court of second ranked Real Esteli on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Real Esteli 71-66. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Jaguares. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Real Esteli forced 27 Jaguares turnovers. It was a good game for American guard Samirah Henderson (163, college: Bridgeport) who led her team to a victory with 30 points and 5 assists. The other American import forward Deijah Blanks (178, college: St.Edward's) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals for the winners. American center Khadija Brown (190, college: UAPB) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and Colombian center Narlyn Mosquera (197-1989) added 19 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) in the effort for Jaguares. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Real Esteli (9-4) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position having just two points less than leader Jaguares. Jaguares at the other side still keep top place with two games lost.
