There was a small surprise in Zacatecas where sixth ranked Mineros (9-10) won against 4th placed Libertadores (10-9) 98-82 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Libertadores 34-20 including 24 on the defensive glass. Mineros looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Mike Bruesewitz (199-1990, college: Wisconsin) who scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Panamanian-Chilean guard Eugenio Luzcando (187-1995, college: Idaho St.) chipped in 18 points and 8 assists. Mineros' coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Branden Frazier (191-1992, college: Fordham, agency: BeoBasket) produced 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import Vander Blue (196-1992, college: Marquette) added 17 points and 7 assists respectively for the guests.
