Very important is a home loss of third ranked Fuerza Regia (12-7) against seventh ranked Plateros (9-10) on Wednesday night. Host Fuerza Regia was defeated by Plateros in Monterrey 88-74. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Fuerza Regia. It was an exceptional evening for Puerto Rican-Nicaraguan guard Jared Ruiz (188-1992) who led the winners and scored 32 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Jamil Wilson (201-1990, college: Marquette) accounted for 8 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Four Plateros players scored in double figures. Argentinian Joseph Avila came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and the former international point guard Paul Stoll (180-1985) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists respectively for Fuerza Regia in the defeat. Plateros moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Mineros. Fuerza Regia at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost.
