The game between second ranked Jaguares (15-5) and fourth ranked UNI Basket (12-8) was the most important one in the last round on Monday night. Jaguares were defeated by UNI Basket in a tough game on the road 100-107. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Jaguares. UNI Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Vansdell Thomas (185-1986) who had a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Puerto Rican guard Brian Vazquez (190-1994) chipped in 28 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international point guard Romario Ponce (180-1995) who recorded 21 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists and American center Leon Hampton (213-1995, college: Stillman) added 14 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively.
