Rather expected game when 7th ranked Nejapa (4-6) was defeated at home by fourth ranked San Salvador (8-2) 101-89 on Saturday. San Salvador had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Dominican forward Adonis Lopez (-1997) who had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Dominican Jonatan Bello (-2001) chipped in a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists. Four San Salvador players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Kylon Higgins (190-1993, college: Arkansas Tech) who recorded a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import forward Brandon OBrien (201-1990, college: Clark Atlanta) added 29 points and 8 rebounds respectively. San Salvador moved-up to second place, which they share with Quezaltepeque and Metapan. Nejapa lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with six games lost.
