The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Caribenas' (3-4) road victory over bottom-ranked Danzantes (0-7) 69-51 on Saturday. Caribenas dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Danzantes' 36. Caribenas forced 27 Danzantes turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Ignali Blanco (-1998) who scored 6 points, 18 rebounds and 9 assists. Eranyelis Sosaya (-1997) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Mariana Pacheco who recorded 14 points and 9 rebounds and Angely Rojas added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Caribenas moved-up to third place. Newly promoted Danzantes still closes the standings with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
