Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Santa Ana (2-8) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked San Salvador (8-2) 91-84 on Sunday. San Salvador dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Santa Ana's 38. They outrebounded Santa Ana 42-30 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. San Salvador looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Dominican forward Adonis Lopez (-1997) who had a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!) and 20 rebounds (on 19-of-24 shooting from the field). Dominican Jonatan Bello (-2001) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Four San Salvador players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Shian Bradshaw (194-1995, college: Wake Tech CC) who recorded a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import point guard Armani Chaney (178-1997, college: Tennessee St.) added 23 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists respectively. San Salvador moved-up to second place, which they share with Quezaltepeque and Metapan. Santa Ana lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with Santiagueno.
