Regular Season Round 10: Nejapa - Chalchuapa 89-86

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Nejapa (5-8) edged at home bottom-ranked Chalchuapa (0-12) 89-86 on Wednesday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. American guard Kylon Higgins (190-1993, college: Arkansas Tech) had a double-double by scoring 28 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Brandon OBrien (201-1990, college: Clark Atlanta) chipped in 23 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. O'Brien is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side American swingman Ameer Biddle (193, college: PS Wilkes Barre) responded with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds and Jamaican-American forward Devin Thompson (199-1980, college: St.Peter's) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Nejapa maintains seventh position with 5-8 record. Loser Chalchuapa still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Nejapa will meet at home league's leader Aguila in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Chalchuapa will play against Santa Tecla (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
