Very expected game in Santa Fe where Platense was defeated by Union 78-70 on Thursday. Guard Matias Reynoso (187-2005) scored 20 points to lead the charge for the winners and forward Joel Peralta (196-2003) chipped in 18 points during the contest. Union's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Juan Frigerio (170-2003) responded with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and Matias Provinciano scored 14 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Five Platense players scored in double figures. Union will meet Riachuelo LR in the next round which should be an easy win for them.
