Very expected game in Managua where 8th ranked Indigenas (5-18) were crushed by fourth ranked Leones MGA (12-10) 86-65 on Saturday. Leones MGA outrebounded Indigenas 47-33 including a 38-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Puerto Rican point guard Luis Gonzalez (183-1997, college: PR-Bayamon) fired 37 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Josmel Martinez (198, college: Broward CC) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Chris Moten (190-1989, college: LA Pierce JC) produced 22 points and Raul Mendoza (190-1987) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Indigenas' coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Leones MGA maintains fourth place with 12-10 record, which they share with UNI Basket.
