Worth to mention a great performance of Douglas Baires (-1988) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Cuban forward Yoel Cubillas (204-1994) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 18 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Four Quezaltepeque players scored in double figures. Quezaltepeque's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dominican Jonatan Bello (-2001) replied with 26 points and 5 rebounds and Dominican forward Adonis Lopez (-1997) added 12 points, 19 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for San Salvador. Quezaltepeque moved-up to second place. San Salvador at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Quezaltepeque will play against bottom-ranked Chalchuapa (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. San Salvador will play against Cojute (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
