Regular Season Round 4: Caballos - Centinelas 64-76

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Caballos (4-2) against fifth ranked Centinelas (2-5) on Wednesday night. Host Caballos were defeated by Centinelas in Aguadulce 76-64. Strangely Caballos outrebounded Centinelas 51-30 including a 26-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Lucas Chavez (187-1995) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 9 rebounds and American Antonio Austin (196-1991, college: SDCC) who added 21 points during the contest. Austin is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Centinelas players scored in double figures. Centinelas' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side forward Michael Hicks (196-1976, college: TAMUCC) responded with 22 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Ezequiel Bell (202-1999) scored 7 points and 17 rebounds. Newly promoted Centinelas maintains fifth position with 2-5 record. Caballos at the other side keep the second place with two games lost. Centinelas will meet at home higher ranked Lobos (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Caballos will play against the league's leader Atletico in Panama City and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
