Rather expected game when 4th ranked Zulianas (1-9) were rolled over at home by top-ranked Taurinas (9-0) 111-74 on Friday. Taurinas dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Zulianas' 46. Taurinas forced 28 Zulianas turnovers and outrebounded them 57-33 including a 39-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Enyerlis Silva (-1997) scored 23 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Endrina Bolivar (-1990) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Taurinas players scored in double figures. At the losing side Arelis Herrera (-1998) responded with 25 points and 6 rebounds and Erianna Pina (-2006) scored 12 points and 4 steals. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Taurinas have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Newly promoted Taurinas maintains first position with 9-0 record. Zulianas lost fourth consecutive game. Zulianas at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keep the fourth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Patriotas. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
