LSBF top team - Jaguares (15-4) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixth ranked UNI (0-18) 95-29. Jaguares held UNI to an opponent 17.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 44.2 percent accuracy of the winners. Jaguares forced 21 UNI turnovers and outrebounded them 70-31 including a 40-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by UNI's players. The best player for the winners was American center Khadija Brown (190, college: UAPB) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 6 rebounds, 10 assists and 6 steals. Scarleth Olivas chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Junieth Luna produced 12 points and Yelic Campos added 7 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Jaguares maintains first place with 15-4 record, which they share with Real Esteli. UNI lost their eighteenth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings.
