We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Montevideo where one of their biggest challengers Paysandu (2-6) was defeated by fifth ranked Urunday (2-6) 49-33 on Sunday. Urunday held Paysandu to an opponent 22.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 25.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Urunday forced 39 Paysandu turnovers. The best player for the winners was Mariana Garcia (-2005) who scored 16 points. Forward Antonella Ormando (-2000) chipped in 12 points and 5 steals. Center Karen Villamarin (-1985) produced 17 points and 7 rebounds and forward Fiorella Santostefano added 7 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Urunday moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 25 de Agosto and Paysandu. Paysandu lost third consecutive game. Urunday's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Montevideo.
