It was a great shooting night for Gimnasia CR especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 100.0 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for Cuban swingman Marcos Chacon (194-2003, agency: Pro Sports) who led the winners and scored 27 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Dominican swingman Angel Reyes (201-2002) accounted for 15 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) for the winning side. Point guard Tobias Franchela (185-2001) came up with 21 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) and guard Benjamin Marco (186-2005) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for Regatas in the defeat. Gimnasia CR will meet San Martin (#17) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Regatas will play against Penarol in Mar del Plata and hopes to get finally their first victory.
