Regular Season Round 5: Los Leones - Boston College 81-49

The biggest surprise took place in Quilpue where host Los Leones (3-0) crushed league's leader Boston College (2-1) 81-49 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Boston College. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Los Leones dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Boston College's 28. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Darrol Jones (193-1994) who scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. American Tyrone Lee (203-1990, college: GVSU) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Four Los Leones players scored in double figures. Venezuelan Cristhian Poleo (-1992) produced 8 points and 10 rebounds and guard Ivan Pacheco (-1994) added 8 points respectively for the guests. Boston College's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Los Leones have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Boston College at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. They were replaced at the leadership position by Manquehue.
