Calero Potosi triumph at Liga Boliviana Finals - Sep 16, 2017


Calero Potosi - Pichincha Potosi 71:68

Calero Potosi overcame Pichincha Potosi 71:68 in the decisive fifth game to seal the trophy. Calero Potosi started with a 24-15 surge, but could not dominate the whole first half. Pichincha Potosi replied with an 18-8 run to take a narrow lead at the halftime. The second half was a real thriller in the court as both teams looked great in the game. Calero Potosi notched a 24-20 rally in the third period to get the final victory.
Ronald Arze (175-PG-93) stepped up with 25 points for the winners and Cristhian Camargo (194-F-92) netted 21. Louis Munks (190-G-90, college: Prairie View A&M) followed them with 9 points and 7 assists. Rene Calvo (193-F/G-93) and Jon Cathey-Macklin (206-F/C-91, college: Tarleton St.) replied with 13 points each in a loss.
