Malvin completed their campaign winless at the eighth position. Univalle stunned their opponents early. The Bolivian team outgunned Malvin 21:11 in the starting stanza to gain a 10-point lead. Malvin speeded up in the second frame but Univalle easily matched the effort. They poured in 28 points in the term to accumulate a 15-point advantage at halftime. Malvin could not change the complexion of the encounter in the third period. The Uruguayan champs lagged behind trailing by 20 points at the final intermission. She knocked down 37 points and grabbed 6 boards to lead the Peruvian team. Regatas Lima will now face Santiago for the fifth overall position at the tournament. Univalle will look for the first win against Malvin today.

Regatas - Univalle 100:77 Regatas Lima earned the second win at the South American Club Championship. They defeated Univalle behind another sizzling performance from Paola Ferrari (178-G/F-85). She knocked down 37 points and grabbed 6 boards to lead the Peruvian team. Regatas Lima will now face Santiago for the fifth overall position at the tournament. Univalle will look for the first win against Malvin today. Regatas Lima looked confident in the opening frame scoring eagerly. They ensured a 6-point lead after ten minutes but Univalle struck back in the second stanza. They unloaded 27 points to post a 4-point advantage at halftime. But Regatas used the long break to regroup and fired from all guns in the third period. They poured in 28 points to stun the Bolivian champions. The Lima outfit entered the fourth quarter ahead by 13 points and cruised to the win. Wynter Whitley (187-F/C-82, college: Duke) produced 21 points and 8 boards for Regatas. Medellin thus improved at 2-1 record to clinch the second spot in the pool. Univalle completed the preliminary action winless at 0-3 record. Medellin jumped to an early lead and piled up a 15-point lead after the starting stanza. The Bolivian team succeeded in the second period to trim the distance to 11 points at halftime. But the Colombian champions came up strong in the third term. They accounted for 30 points to ensure a 26-point advantage with one quarter remaining.
