Libobasquet's newest team, AND 1 La Paz, coming up to replace Derecho de Oruro at the main level of Bolivian clubs basketball, signed Cuban players Lisvan Valdez (195-G/F-88) and Daniel Nembhard (204-F/C) and also added american SF Shannon Williams (191-F, college: S.Suburban JC) to the active roster for the beginning of the 2016 season.

The team is coached by Igor Ramirez, who shared his thoughts on the possibilities of having a positive season in this new and tough experience. "Lisvan (Valdez) has been with us since January and is totally adapted to everything. Daniel (Nembhard) joined the group without any issues and we'll have to wait a little bit more for Shannon (Williams) but he's a great player".

Valdez is a 28 year-old long time star of Capitalinos de La Habana in his country's LSB and he's also a part of the Cuban National Team. Nembhard has experience in leagues of Peru, Uruguay and Paraguay.

Ramirez's team is set on starting off to a good run. "We want to surprise everybody and have a good season. The general management and the coaching staff are betting on the young players from La Paz".
