Amistad de Sucre is preparing to participate in the 2016 edition of Bolivia's Libobasquet with powerful and athletic players for scoring purposes, such as Timothy Jennings (193-G-83, college: Gardner-Webb), Marcus Sheppard (193-G-92, college: Northeastern St.) and Argentinian Nicolas Gimenez (203-F/C-94).

Jennings is 33 years old and recently finished playing in Uruguay's LUB, where he averaged 13.7 points, 2.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 23 games for Atletico Aguada. In his broad international experience he's also played in leagues of Germany, Ireland, Chile, Costa Rica, Mexico, Uruguay, Argentina, Dominican Republic, Venezuela and Colombia.

Sheppard is 23 years old and is a newcomer to international leagues who used to play for Northeastern State in the NCAA 2 level of college basketball.

Gimenez is a PF-C who started his career as a part of Penarol de Mar del Plata and more recently played for Tomas de Rocamora in his country's second division, TNA, averaging 4.7 points and 2.4 rebounds per game in 39 games.

Calero Potosi reach the Finals beating Universidad San Simon 3-1 in the semifinal series. In the fourth game Calero Potosi posted an 80-71 win. Universidad San Simon had a good 26-11 third quarter push, while Calero needed a final 27-21 surge to seal the victory. Pichincha Potosi meanwhile posted the second straight win over CAN Oruro to toe the series at 2-2. Pichincha Potosi celebrated an 84-64 win in game 4 after a strong start in the game.   [read more]

Universidad San Simon and Pichincha reduced deficits at the respective semifinal series. Universidad San Simon overcame Calero Potosi 100-93 in an overtime thriller. Universidad San Simon dominated the first half, but then Calero managed to tie the game at the end of the fourth period. Pichincha Potosi edged CAN Oruro 86-73. Pichincha Potosi won all quarters of the game to win game 3.   [read more]
Calero Potosi and CAN Oruro win semifinal openers - 10 days ago
Calero Potosi and CAN Oruro won semifinal openers beating their opponents last night. Calero Potosi overcame Universidad San Simon 114-84 as they posted a 26-11 surge in the start. Calero managed also to post a comfortable 32-27 and 34-21 rallies in the second half. CAN Oruro meanwhile beat Pichincha Potosi 98-86. The latter won the second period 28-20, but CAN Oruro dominated the rest of the game.   [read more]
