Team Calero de Potosi decided to change things around regarding the foreign players staff, as they announced the departures of Pieter Prinsloo (208-F-92, college: Marist) and Dean Boyce (198-F) and the signings and arrivals of PG Alfonzo Houston (190-G-92, college: N.C.Central) and Puerto Rican Emanuel Pellot (206-PF-93) to play in Bolivia's 2016 Libobasquet tournament.

Calero is winless after four rounds of the regular season and intends to win with the arrival of Houston, a 24 year-old, 1.90m tall PG with previous experience in the ABA and the MPBA back in the United States. He played for N.C. Central in the NCAA, averaging 9.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game in 34 games of the 2013-2014 season.

Pellot is a 2.06m tall PF-C who was born in Miami, Florida but has Puerto Rican origins. He was recently drafted by Manati in Puerto Rico's BSN and played for Florida A&M in the NCAA.

Universidad San Simon and Pichincha reduced deficits at the respective semifinal series. Universidad San Simon overcame Calero Potosi 100-93 in an overtime thriller. Universidad San Simon dominated the first half, but then Calero managed to tie the game at the end of the fourth period. Pichincha Potosi edged CAN Oruro 86-73. Pichincha Potosi won all quarters of the game to win game 3.   [read more]
Calero Potosi and CAN Oruro win semifinal openers - 7 days ago
Calero Potosi and CAN Oruro won semifinal openers beating their opponents last night. Calero Potosi overcame Universidad San Simon 114-84 as they posted a 26-11 surge in the start. Calero managed also to post a comfortable 32-27 and 34-21 rallies in the second half. CAN Oruro meanwhile beat Pichincha Potosi 98-86. The latter won the second period 28-20, but CAN Oruro dominated the rest of the game.   [read more]
The semifinals are set - 12 days ago
El Club Atletico Nacional de Oruro became the last teal to reach the semifinals. They posted an 88-63 win over Carl A-Z to win the series 2-1. Emanuel Picton scored 22 points and made 12 rebounds. Pichincha Potosi beat Vikingos 94:85 in game 3 to win the series 2-1. In another match-ups Calero and Univ.S.Simon swept their series.   [read more]
