Bolivia's 2016 edition of Liga Boliviana de Baloncesto (Libobasquet) is about to enter the final days of its preliminary round and teams keep making moves in order to get better and fight for a spot in the playoffs.

Pichincha de Potosi decided to bring in Brazilian Lucas Tischer (208-C-83) and Argentinian Joaquin Baeza (182-PG-86), as they also replaced Argentinian head coach Jose Luis Pestuggia with newcomer Juan Marcos Blass.

Tischer is a 33 year-old C, 2.08m tall, who has played in Bolivia before. He played for Amistad de Sucre back in 2015. He's also played in the NBA's Summer League and in leagues of Israel, Argentina and Uruguay, as well as in Brazil's NBB for the past 10 seasons.

Baeza is a 29 year-old PG with previous experience in Bolivia with Universidad de Santa Cruz (Utepsa) back in 2015. He's also played in Uruguay and Argentina.

La Salle Cochabamba brought a couple of proven scorers overseas, as they released Dakota Slaughter (201-F-93, college: UTRGV) and Kenton Walker (203-C/F, college: Creighton) to sign SF Anthony Young (200-SF-89, college: Ky Wesleyan) and PF Mike Phillips (201-F/C-90, college: Howard). Young is a 26 year-old former player of Penarol de Mar del Plata in Argentina with previous successful stints in leagues of Germany, Venezuela and Uruguay, while Phillips spent the last couple of season playing in Spain's EBA and LEB Silver leagues.

CAN Oruro inked Brazilian SF-PF Wilmar Borges (200-F-93) for his first international experience. He's a 23 year-old, 2.00m tall player who comes from Universo Vitoria Salvador in his country's NBB.
