Tim Jennings
Malvin Montevideo (LUB) agreed terms with 33-year old American guard Tim Jennings (193-83, college: Gardner-Webb). He played this summer at Amistad in Bolivian Libobasquet. The last season Jennings played at Atletico Aguada where in 23 LUB games he had 13.7ppg, 2.5rpg and 3.2apg.
In 2007 (a year after he left the college) Jennings was drafted by Idaho Stampede (D-League) in eighth round (109th overall).
He attended Gardner-Webb University until 2006 and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Jennings won Dominican Rep. LNB South Division championship title in 2011. He was also voted Latinbasket.com Uruguay Metropolitan League All-Imports Team in 2014.
Jennings is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Argentina (C.Entrerriano and Regatas Corrientes), Canada, Chile (Sportiva Italiana), Colombia (Barrancabermeja Ciudad Futuro and Guerreros), Costa Rica, Germany, Ireland, Mexico, Venezuela and Uruguay (Bigua, Tabare and Verdirrojo).
Jennings is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
On Jennings: He's is a great defender, capable of locking down opponents' top scoring threats. At the offensive side, he is quick and explosive, and cna score and pass. Strength and great ball skills allow him to play either the two guard or small forward spots effectively. Quick and explosive offensively and defensively. Good shooter with range. Good passer. Atleticism makes for a good rebounding guard and great finisher above the rim.
