Larre Borges Montevideo (LUB) strengthened their roster with addition of 28-year old American power forward Albert Jackson (211-113kg-88, college: Georgia). He played in the summer at Universidad Tecnica de Santa Cruz in Bolivian Libobasquet.
The most of last season Jackson spent at Ciclista in TNA where in 22 games he recorded 12.5ppg, 8.0rpg and 1.6bpg. Great season indeed as he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian TNA 3rd Team. He also played that season for Al Nift (Superleague) in Iraq. In 22 games he averaged 12.5ppg and 8.0rpg.
Among other achievements Jackson's team made it to the League Semifinals in 2015. He received also Asia-Basket.com All-Kuwait League Defensive Player of the Year award in 2014.
Jackson is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in eight different countries. Jackson has played previously professionally in Chile (CD Tinguiririca San Fernando), Holland (Rotterdam), Paraguay (SPVO Luqueno), Venezuela (Panteras), Uruguay (Nacional), Ecuador (Mavort), IBA (Gwinett Majic) and Kuwait (Al Nasar).
He attended University of Georgia until 2010 and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball.

Calero Potosi and CAN Oruro win semifinal openers - 5 days ago
Calero Potosi and CAN Oruro won semifinal openers beating their opponents last night. Calero Potosi overcame Universidad San Simon 114-84 as they posted a 26-11 surge in the start. Calero managed also to post a comfortable 32-27 and 34-21 rallies in the second half. CAN Oruro meanwhile beat Pichincha Potosi 98-86. The latter won the second period 28-20, but CAN Oruro dominated the rest of the game.   [read more]
The semifinals are set - 10 days ago
El Club Atletico Nacional de Oruro became the last teal to reach the semifinals. They posted an 88-63 win over Carl A-Z to win the series 2-1. Emanuel Picton scored 22 points and made 12 rebounds. Pichincha Potosi beat Vikingos 94:85 in game 3 to win the series 2-1. In another match-ups Calero and Univ.S.Simon swept their series.   [read more]

BK Lions Jindrichuv Hradec (NBL) added to their roster 27-year old American small forward Gerard Coleman (196-79kg-90, college: Georgetown, KY). Coleman last played professionally in 2015 in Bolivia with La Salle Tarija.
