Larre Borges Montevideo (LUB) strengthened their roster with addition of 28-year old American power forward Albert Jackson (211-113kg-88, college: Georgia). He played in the summer at Universidad Tecnica de Santa Cruz in Bolivian Libobasquet.
The most of last season Jackson spent at Ciclista in TNA where in 22 games he recorded 12.5ppg, 8.0rpg and 1.6bpg. Great season indeed as he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian TNA 3rd Team. He also played that season for Al Nift (Superleague) in Iraq. In 22 games he averaged 12.5ppg and 8.0rpg.
Among other achievements Jackson's team made it to the League Semifinals in 2015. He received also Asia-Basket.com All-Kuwait League Defensive Player of the Year award in 2014.
Jackson is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in eight different countries. Jackson has played previously professionally in Chile (CD Tinguiririca San Fernando), Holland (Rotterdam), Paraguay (SPVO Luqueno), Venezuela (Panteras), Uruguay (Nacional), Ecuador (Mavort), IBA (Gwinett Majic) and Kuwait (Al Nasar).
He attended University of Georgia until 2010 and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball.
