Macae Basquete (NBB) tabbed 28 year old American guard Lewis Leonard (193-87, college: St.Bonaventure) and is expect to lead the team in the Brazilian National League D1.

He played in the summer at Bolmar in Bolivia Libobasquet. Leonard helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. They also advanced to the league semifinals.
He has played previously professionally in Nigeria (Islanders) and Peru (Club Trujillo), and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball.

Leonard attended St.Bonaventure University until 2010, when he transfer to Tennesse Temple University and avarege 21.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 2.3 apg.

Leonard was the 2006-07 Foothill Conference Most Valuable Player, as he finished second in the California Community College Association in scoring at 25.2 points per game plus 5.9rpg while playing for San Bernardino Valley College.

In High School, Leonard was a Three-time All-Public League selection ... finished as Frankford's second all-time leading scorer with 1,304 points ... coached by Ben Dubin and Howard Griffith ... as a senior, finished second in the Public League in scoring at 24.2 points per game ... led the Public League Division B in scoring (25.5) during league only contests ... named to the Philadelphia Daily News All-City second team and All-Public League Division B first team ... averaged 18.9 points per game as a junior in 2004-05 ... named to the All-Public League Division B first team.

Amistad Sucre (Libobasquet) signed 27-year old American center John Florveus (211-109kg-90, college: Georgia, agency: Elevate Agency). He played last season at Cactus Tbilisi in Georgian Superleague. The most exciting game of round 6 in the Libobasquet took place in Tarija. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-best Univ. San Simon (4-2) to third ranked Vikingos (4-2) 92-89 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Univ. San Simon.
