The Cia do Terno/Romaco/Joinville basketball team the only representative team from the south region of Brazil on the NBB has a new player. After a try-out period Abner Moreira (205-F/C, agency: Dynamics Global Management, college: Idaho St.) got himself a contract to play his first NBB season after graduating in College in US. The Big man can play the 4 and 5 positions and is expect to help the team on the defense end of the court. Cia do Terno/Romaco/Joinville now is making a new try-out with the shootinguard Willian Dos Santos (F-89) who played in Dracena on the first phase os the Paulista State Championship. Willian is a tall guard that can create space and organize the team, he has played in Sao Caetano, Rio Pardo and Campo Mourao
Liga Sorocaba are working actively on the market. They have added three new players to the roster. These are Thiago Carneiro (190-F/G-91), Guilherme Hubner (209-C-87) and Guilherme Schneider (192-G-86).
Thiago Carneiro is the product of Paulistano basketball school. He played for the team through 2011/12 season. Last season Thiago Carneiro spent in the USA. He studied and played for the Colorado NW CC in JUCO.

Guilherme Schneider was the member of Caerense squad last season. The guard posted 5.5 points and 1.2 rebounds per game in NBB. Earlier Guilherme Schneider had stints with Campo Mourao, Joinville and CETAF/Garoto.

Croatia U19 wins Dubrovnik Tournament with 4 participating teams. The home side of the event posted three victories in three games. In Day 3 Croatia U19 rolled over Brazil U19 67:53. The latter finished second with 2-1 record.

Croatia U19 wins Dubrovnik Tournament with 4 participating teams. The home side of the event posted three victories in three games. In Day 3 Croatia U19 rolled over Brazil U19 67:53. The latter finished second with 2-1 record. Both teams entered the game undefeated and it was Brazil to start with 20-12 lead. Croatia however needed a strong second period and grabbed a 28:27 halftime advantage. Croatia increased to 54:46 in the third period and then won the game by 14 points. Dario Saric (208-F/C-94, agency: XL Basketball Agency) top-scored for the winners with 18 points and Bender added 16. Maric notched 10, while Tomislav Gabric (201-PF-95, agency: XL Basketball Agency) posted 9. Dias ended up with 14 points in defeat, whilst Leonardo Demetrio (204-F/C-94), Sommer and Verado had 6 each.
NBB newcomers Macae are building their roster for the next season. They announced the signing of Marcio Dornelles (194-SF-75) several days ago. Now it is the time for Pablo Espinoza (200-F-87). The Argentinean forward actually joined Macae for the Carioca League back in April. Now he extends for the next season. Last season Pablo Espinoza started with Obras.
