Sao Jose/Vinac knotted things up in the Paulista League semifinal series versus Bauru. Sao Jose/Vinac clinched a 13-point home win in Game 4 to force the decisive fifth game in the series. It is scheduled for November 8th. Murilo Becker (210-C/F-83) came up with 31 points and 11 rebounds to pace Sao Jose/Vinac.
The hosts grabbed an early lead. They established a 40:34 halftime advantage. Sao Jose/Vinac stretched the gap in the third frame. The home side extended the lead to as many as 14 points with one quarter remaining. Bauru exploded with 28 points in the fourth stanza but it was too late to save the game. Chico Delben provided 15 points, while Laws contributed 14 points for the home side. Ricardo Fischer (185-G-91) answered with 15 points for Bauru. DeAndre Coleman (201-F-86, college: S.Alabama) had 14 points in defeat.
