Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Brazilians who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international point guard Marcelinho Huertas (191-83, agency: Edge Sports, currently plays in Euroleague). He led his Spanish team Regal FC Barcelona to a 3-point victory over the sixth-ranked Partizan (0-4) 85-82 in the Euroleague in Thursday night's game. Huertas was MVP of the game. He recorded 24 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists in 26 minutes on the court. Regal FC Barcelona (4-0) is placed second in group D. So far his team won all four games in the Regular Season. Huertas has relatively good stats this year: 10.8ppg, 3.3rpg, 3.5apg, 2FGP: 42.1% in the four games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Brazilian and Italian. Huertas is currently a member of the Brazilian senior national team.

Anderson Varejao

   #2. Second place goes to an international center Anderson Varejao (205-82, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA. He could not help the Cleveland Cavaliers (2-2) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Varejao's very good performance the Cleveland Cavaliers were edged 105-102 on the road by the Milwaukee Bucks. He recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 17 rebounds. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Varejao's ninth year with the team. Varejao belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #2. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Varejao averages: 14.0ppg, 15.0rpg, 3.0apg, 2FGP: 65.8%(25-38) and FT: 85.7%. He is in the roster of the Brazilian senior national team.

Hatila Passos

   #3. The Brazilian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international center Hatila Passos (211-86, college: N.Mexico St., currently plays in Uruguay). He was the major contributor in Hebraica's victory against the 11th-ranked Atletico Welcome (5-7) 74-63 in a derby game in the Uruguayan LUB in Monday night's game. Passos recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 14 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks. Hebraica Macabi (10-3) is placed second in Capital group. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Passos is currently third on the list of best rebounders. This season he has very high stats. Passos averages: 16.3ppg, 12.7rpg, 1.3bpg, 2FGP: 68.5%(89-130) and FT: 62.5%. He played for the Brazilian national team two years ago.

   #4. Swingman Jonathan Tavernari (198-87, college: BYU, currently plays in Italy) led Givova Scafati to a victory against the closely-ranked LeGamberi Foods Forlì (2-3) 84-76 in the Italian Lega2 (second division) last Sunday. Tavernari scored 17 points in 33 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. Givova Scafati Basket (3-2) is placed eighth in the Lega2. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. This year Tavernari has relatively solid stats: 11.4ppg, 3.6rpg and 1.2spg in the five games. He is another player who holds two passports: Brazilian and Italian. Tavernari used to play for the Brazilian national team back in 2010.

   #5. International power forward Tiago Splitter (211-85, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in NBA) contributed to a San Antonio Spurs' victory against the New Orleans Hornets (2-1) 99-95 in the NBA on Wednesday night. He scored 7 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. The San Antonio Spurs have 4-0 record this season. So far his team won all four games in the Regular Season. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. Splitter's overall stats this season are: 4.8ppg and 3.8rpg. He has both Brazilian and Spanish nationalities. Splitter plays currently for the Brazilian national team.

Batista scored only 4 points in 25 minutes. Le Mans Sarthe Basket (4-1) is placed third in the ProA. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Batista is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fifth year in Le Mans' roster. He has reliable stats this season: 11.6ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.8apg in the five games. Batista used to play for the Brazilian national team two years ago.

   #8. Center Lucas Nogueira (213-92, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Asefa Estudiantes (4-2) in their game against Blancos de Rueda (3-3) in the Spanish ACB. He cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. Nogueira scored only 2 points. Asefa Estudiantes was defeated 86-81 in Valladolid by the lower-ranked Blancos de Rueda (#11). Nogueira's overall stats this season are: 3.3ppg, 2.7rpg and 1.2bpg. He used to play for the Brazilian national team last year.

International point guard Raul Neto (186-92, currently plays in Spain) helped Lagun Aro GBC edge in an overtime one of league's weakest teams Assignia Manresa (0-6) 89-88 in the Spanish ACB last Sunday. Neto scored 8 points and added 4 passes in 21 minutes. Lagun Aro Gipuzkoa BC (1-5) is placed 16th in the ACB. They ended the series of five consecutive loses. Neto is currently seventh on the list of best passers with 4.2apg. This year he also averages: 12.5ppg, 3.2rpg and 1.5spg in the six games. Neto is also in the roster of the Brazilian national team.

   #10. Point guard Leandro Barbosa (190-82, currently plays in NBA) helped Boston Celtics win their game against the Washington Wizards (0-2) 89-86 in the NBA on Saturday night. He scored only 3 points. The Boston Celtics have 1-2 record this season. This year Barbosa averages just 2.5ppg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Brazilian National Team roster.

   #11. International point guard Rafael Freire (188-92, currently plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Blusens Monbus in their game against CAI Zaragoza in the Spanish ACB. Freire cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 2 points in 13 minutes. His team was badly defeated by 18 points 76-58. This year Freire's overall stats are: 1.8ppg, 1.3rpg and 2.0apg in the six games. He plays currently for the Brazilian national team.

   #12. Former international guard Carlos Cobos (193-88, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Leche Rio Breogan in their game against Lleida Basquet in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). Cobos scored 8 points. His team was defeated 76-65. Cobos' total stats this season are: 4.6ppg, 3.0rpg and 2.6apg. He used to play for the Brazilian national team back in 2010.

   #1. Vitor Faverani (211-C-88, currently plays in Spain) was the major contributor in a Valencia Basket's victory against the 15th-ranked Cajasol (1-5) 82-73 in the Spanish ACB on Saturday night. Faverani had a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 10 rebounds in 26 minutes. Valencia Basket (5-1) is placed third in the ACB. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Faverani is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Valencia Basket's roster. He is currently second on the list of best rebounders with 8.5rpg. This year Faverani's other stats are: 10.7ppg and 1.3bpg in the six games he played so far.

   #2. Atila Santos (208-C-83, agency: Warren Sports International, college: Minnesota St., currently plays in Bulgaria) led Balkan to a victory against the second-ranked Euroins Cherno More (2-1) 82-73 in the Bulgarian NBL in Saturday night's game. He scored 13 points, had 7 rebounds and made 3 blocks in 24 minutes. It was his first game for Balkan this season. His team is placed sixth in the NBL.

   #3. Sidnei De Santana (215-C-83, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) could not help CB Clavijo (2-3) to beat Planasa NV (3-2). De Santana scored 6 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 19 minutes. CB Clavijo lost 60-71 on the road to the higher-ranked (#6) Planasa NV. This year De Santana's total stats are: 6.0ppg and 3.6rpg in the five games. He has a dual citizenship: Brazilian and Spanish.

   #4. Diego Soarez (205-C-87, currently plays in Uruguay) was not able to help Atletico Welcome (5-7) in their game against Olimpia (5-6) in the Uruguayan LUB. Soarez cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 3 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. The 11th-placed Atletico Welcome was defeated 84-76 in a derby game by the higher-ranked Olimpia (#9) in the Capital group. It's Soarez's first season with the team. Soarez's total stats this year are: 2.7ppg and 2.4rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Brazilian and Uruguayan.

   #5. Kazuya Hatano (192-F-82, currently plays in Japan) contributed to an Oita Heat Devils' victory against the sixth-ranked Shiga L-Stars (3-5) 92-80 in the Japanese BJ League last Sunday. Hatano scored 9 points in 30 minutes. Oita Heat Devils (7-1) are placed first in Western group. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. This year Hatano's total stats are: 6.3ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.2apg in the six games. He has both Brazilian and Japanese nationalities. Despite Hatano's Brazilian passport, he previously played for the Japanese U22 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Brazilian team.

33-year old point guard Paulinho Boracini (183-PG-84) put on an amazing game in the last round for B.Cearense and receives a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7. He had the game-high 27 points adding five rebounds and five assists for B.Cearense in his team's victory, helping them to beat Vasco Da G. (#15, 1-5) 85-76. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team, derby games and games ending by tiny margin. The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Mogi (6-1) on the court of fourth ranked Caxias do Sul on Thursday night. Visitors were edged by Caxias do Sul 66-65.
