   #1. This week's number one is an international center Anderson Varejao (205-82, currently plays in NBA). He led Cleveland Cavaliers to a victory against the Los Angeles Clippers (4-2) 108-101 in the NBA in Monday night's game. Varejao had a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting the same number of rebounds. He also added and 3 steals in 36 minutes on the court. The Cleveland Cavaliers have not so impressive 2-5 record this season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Varejao's ninth year with the team. Varejao is ranked second on the list of the best rebounders in the league with 13.0rpg. He also averaged so far 12.7ppg, 3.5apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 56.1%(32-57) and FT: 66.7% in the six games he played so far. Varejao is currently a member of the Brazilian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international point guard Marcelinho Huertas (191-83, agency: Edge Sports, currently plays in Spain). He was the major contributor in a Regal FC Barcelona's victory against the league outsider Assignia Manresa (0-7) crushing them 89-47 in the Spanish ACB last Sunday. Huertas recorded 13 points and added 4 assists. Regal FC Barcelona (4-3) is placed ninth in the ACB. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Huertas is currently fifth on the list of best passers. This season he averages: 9.3ppg, 2.6rpg, 4.4apg, 2FGP: 42.4%, 3FGP: 41.7%. Huertas has a dual citizenship: Brazilian and Italian. He is in the roster of the Brazilian senior national team.

The Brazilian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international center Hatila Passos (211-85, college: N.Mexico St., currently plays in Uruguay), who plays in the Uruguayan LUB. Passos could not help Hebraica (11-5) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the fourth-placed Hebraica lost 67-74 in a derby game to the second-ranked Bigua in the Capital group. Passos had a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 13 rebounds. He also added 3 assists in 40 minutes. Passos is currently third on the league's list of best rebounders with 12.6rpg. This year his other stats are: 15.9ppg, 1.1apg, 1.1bpg, 2FGP: 70.8%(109-154) and FT: 59.5% in the 16 games. Passos played for the Brazilian national team two years ago.

   #4. Power forward Tiago Splitter (211-85, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in NBA) contributed to a San Antonio Spurs' victory against the Sacramento Kings (2-5) 97-86 in the NBA in Friday night's game. He scored 6 points. The San Antonio Spurs have a very good 6-1 record this season. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Splitter's overall stats this season are: 5.4ppg and 3.1rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Brazilian and Spanish. Splitter is also Brazilian national team player.

Batista scored 10 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Le Mans Sarthe Basket (5-1) is placed first in the ProA. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. He scored 6 points and added 3 passes in 15 minutes. The Boston Celtics have 4-3 record this season. It's Barbosa's first year with the team. This year Barbosa's overall stats are: 2.5ppg and 1.5apg in the six games. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Brazilian National Team roster.

He recorded only 2 points. Herbalife Gran Canaria 2014 (5-2) is placed fifth in the ACB. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Prestes' total stats this season are: 4.3ppg and 3.9rpg. He used to play for the Brazilian national team three years ago.

He used to play for the Brazilian national team two years ago.

   #12. Former U17 international center Rafael Maia (206-91, currently plays in NCAA1) helped Brown win their game against the Binghamton University 58-49 in the NCAA on Sunday night. Maia scored 7 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Maia's total stats this season are: 5.6ppg and 3.8rpg. He used to play for the Brazilian U17 national team back in 2007.

   #13. Former University international center Andre Almeida (211-88, currently plays in NCAA1) helped Nebraska win their game against the Southern University 66-55 in the NCAA in Sunday night's game. He scored only 2 points. Almeida's total stats this season are: 5.6ppg and 3.8rpg. He used to play for the Brazilian university national team three years ago.

He recorded 6 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 18 minutes. It was his first game for Valencia Basket this season. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. His team is placed first in the Eurocup. Faverani has been at the team for four years.

   #2. Sidnei De Santana (215-C-83, currently plays in Spain) helped CB Clavijo win their game against the fourth-ranked Palencia Baloncesto (4-2) 97-87 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) last Friday. De Santana scored 10 points, had 4 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 20 minutes. CB Clavijo (3-3) is placed ninth in the LEB Gold. It's De Santana's first season with the team. This year his total stats are: 6.7ppg and 3.7rpg in the six games he played so far. De Santana has a dual citizenship: Brazilian and Spanish.

   #3. Atila Santos (208-C-83, agency: Warren Sports International, college: Minnesota St., currently plays in Bulgaria), who plays in the Bulgarian NBL could not help Balkan (2-3) to beat Tundja Yambol (3-1). He recorded 6 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Balkan was edged 86-85 on the road by the higher-ranked Tundja Yambol (#3). It's Santos' first season with the team. Santos' total stats this year are: 9.5ppg, 8.5rpg, 1.5apg, 1.5bpg and 1.5spg.

   #4. Andre Coimbra (205-F-86, agency: SDJ Sports, college: Cent.Michigan, currently plays in Japan) helped Osaka Evessa win their game against the second-ranked Oita Heat Devils (8-2) 86-82 in the Japanese BJ League in Saturday night's game. He had a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting the same number of rebounds. Coimbra also added 4 blocks in 24 minutes. Osaka Evessa (1-5) is placed ninth in Western group. It's Coimbra's first season with the team. This year his total stats are: 4.5ppg, 5.0rpg and 1.3bpg in the six games.

   #5. Renan Lenz (206-C-90, currently plays in NCAA1) managed to help University of Utah in a victory against the Willamette University (2-4) crushing them 104-47 in the NCAA on Friday night. He recorded 5 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 13 minutes. The University of Utah has 0-0 conference record this season. Lenz has reliable stats this year: 10.3ppg and 3.5rpg in the six games.

   #6. Kazuya Hatano (192-F-82, currently plays in Japan) helped Oita Heat Devils win their game against the ninth-ranked Osaka Evessa 85-77 in the Japanese BJ League last Sunday. Hatano scored only 4 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 30 minutes. This year Hatano's total stats are: 5.6ppg and 3.8rpg in the eight games. He is another player who holds two passports: Brazilian and Japanese.

He scored only 3 points and added 3 passes in 16 minutes. This year de Souza's total stats are: 5.6ppg and 3.8rpg in the eight games.

   #10. Gustavo Lo Leggio (195-F-87, currently plays in Switzerland) helped Lugano Tigers win their game against the closely-ranked Boncourt crushing them 80-54 in the Swiss LNA last Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 23-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Flamengo made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Ginastico - Vasco Da G. 96-100 Vasco Da Gama outgunned Ginastico to sweep Liga Ouro semifinal series. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half.
